That's awesome. Were you on your way to the Public Libraries Association conference? I volunteered there on Tuesday but didn't get to see any of the actual conference.


Wow, I'm speechless. That's a good, good story.


I don't believe that ... the no-pockets thing, I mean. There are still a lot of good people out there. They're just scared to come forward and overwhelm the bad guys.


That is incredible. Yeah, giving it to charity is going to totally expand your Karma. BTW, I am a silent fan. I read your blog assiduously.

In other news, I once left my laptop in a British cab, followed by a highly dramatic run down the street screaming after the cab. One Londoner even shhhed me. But it was gone.
Yet, two hours later, the cab returned to my hotel and returned it. What are the odds he would remember my hotel? And he declined to take my 20 pound tip until I literally forced it on him. Decency still lives among the human race.
